- Hi-baby® ointment contains two active ingredients - Nystatin and Zinc oxide , which makes it very effective for the relief of diaper rash, superficial wounds and other minor skin irritations, as Nystatin is a complementary potent antifungal that exerts both fungicidal and fungistatic activity against wide variety of yeast and yeast-like fungi, while Zinc oxide is a mild astringent used topically as a soothing and protective agent in slight skin excoriations.
