Topical anti-inflammatory & antibiotic

Indication
Nice-derm® is indicated in the treatment of inflammatory skin lesions, particularly when accompanied by candidal and/or bacterial infections.Such skin diseases include:
- Surface bacterial infections.
- Infantile eczema.
- Dermatitis herpetiformis.
- Stasis eczema.
- Dermatitis venenata.
- Anal and vulvar pruritus.
- Post traumatic infective.
- Skin candidosis.
- Atopic dermatitis.
- Contact dermatitis.
- Seborrheic eczema.
- Neurodermatitis.
- Psoriasis.
- Follicular dermatitis eczema.

Composition
Each 1 gram of Nice-derm® cream/ointment contains:
- Triamcinolone acetonide 1 mg
- Neomycin (as sulfate) 2.5 mg
- Gramicidin 0.25 mg
- Nystatin 100,000 IU

Dosage
- Apply a thin film of Nice-derm® on the affected area 2 or 3 times daily. An occlusive dressing may be used, but should be covered with a suitable sheath to prevent loss of medication.
- Nice-derm® has several theraputic properties, anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, antibacterial and antifungal, which are useful in treatment of minor and moderate inflammatory skin lesions.
- Triamcinolone acetonide is a corticosteroid that acts as anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and anti-allergic.
- Nystatin is an antifungal agent characterized by specific anticandidal activity.
- The two antibiotics (Neomycin and Gramicidin) together provide antibacterial properties which cover wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative micro-organisms.
Each 1 gram of Nice-derm® cream/ointment contains:

Nice-derm® should not be used in the following cases:
- Hypersensitivity to Neomycin, Nystatin, Gramicidin or Triamcinolone acetonide.
- Any fungal infection of the skin except candidiasis.
- Herpes simplex.
- Tubercular infections of the skin.
- Vaccina, Eczema vaccinatus, Varicella or other viral infections.
- Contraindicated in the eyes and external auditory canal in patients with perforated ear drum.
- Nice-derm® is well tolerated.
- Sensitivity reactions such as burning sensation, itching and irritation may occasionally be experienced.
- Secondary infection may occur with the prolonged use of topical corticosteroids.
- Apply a thin film of Nice-derm® on the affected area 2 or 3 times daily. An occlusive dressing may be used, but should be covered with a suitable sheath to prevent loss of medication.
- The prolonged use of Nice-derm® may lead to development of non-sensitive micro-organisms including fungi not belonging to the Candida species; if the patient does not respond rapidly, Nice-derm® should be discontinued until the infection has been controlled. However, the treatment should be discontinued if any local irritation or sensitivity reaction appear.
- Nice-derm® should be avoided in patients with extensive skin damage, because the absorption of Neomycin and Triamcinolone can possibly lead to nephrotoxicity, ototoxicity or appearance of corticosteroidal side effect.
- Nice-derm® cream: tube of 15gm.
- Nice-derm® ointment: tube of 15gm.
- Store at room temperature not exceed 25 °C.
