G-Mox 250
Broad Spectrum Antibiotic
  • Amoxicillin is well absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract giving high concentration in the serum, tissues and urine. The ingestion of food does not greatly reduce the absorption of Amoxicillin.
  • Amoxicillin is a broad spectrum antibiotic effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms including: α- and β-hemolytic streptococci, Pneumococci, non penicillinase producing Staphylococci, DiphtheriaH. influenzae, SalmonellaShigellae, E. coli, some Proteus strains, Brucellae, Gonococci and Meningococci.

Each 5 ml of G-Mox® 250 for oral susp. contains:

  • Amoxicillin 250 mg (as Amoxicillin Trihydrate)

Each 5 ml of G-Mox® 125 for oral susp. contains:

  • Amoxicillin 125 mg (as Amoxicillin Trihydrate)

Each 1 ml of G-Mox® for Infant Drops contains:

  • Amoxicillin 100 mg (as Amoxicillin Trihydrate)

G-Mox® is indicated in the following infections caused by susceptible organisms:

  • Infections of respiratory tract: pneumonia, bronchitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis and otitis media.
  • Infections of genitourinary tract: cystitis, urethritis, pyelonephritis and gonorrhea.
  • Other infections: skin and soft tissue infections and typhoid resistant to chloramphenicol.
  • Prophylaxis of endocarditis, may be used for the prevention of bacteremia. 
  • With another drugs to treat stomach ulcers caused by Helicobacter pylori infection.

 

G-Mox® should not be administered to patients who have shown hypersensitivity to penicillin's.

  • G-Mox® suitability in human pregnancy has been well documented in clinical studies.
  • During lactation, trace quantities of G-Mox® can be detected in breast milk,caution should be excercised when administerted to nursing woman.

 

usually a mild and transitory nature may include:

  • diarrhea.
  • Indigestion.
  • skin rash.

1) Adults :

  • Mild infection: 250mg / 8 hours.
  • Moderate to sever infection: 500mg / 8 hours.
  • Very sever infection: 1000mg / 8 hours.

2) Children:

  • Up to 10years: 125-250mg / 8 hours
  • Infants and children  weight under 40kg:         20-40mg/kg body weight three times daily -or as directed by physicians
     
  • The possibility of super-infections with mycotic or bacterial pathogens should be kept in mind during therapy. If super-infections occur, the drug should be discontinued and appropriate therapy instituted.
  • The possible occurrence of anaphylactic reactions should also be borne in mind.
  • There should be monitoring of plasma and urine levels for patients with renal impairment.

G-Mox® 250 For oral suspension:

  • Bottle of 100 ml after reconstitution.
  • Store in a dry place at a temperature below 25 ℃.
